Alabama is about $28 per year, and no ad valorem taxes. The 2% sales tax on the new purchase price is also pretty low. There are no titles issued on boats, motors or trailers.

I registered my new boat in DE, $60 for 3 years and no sales tax on the boat. If I can screw MD as much as they are screwing us, so be it. :rofl DE registration includes access to all DE state owned boat ramps, unlike MD.

$35* annual in AZ for residents.
$35* + $244* annual Non-resident Boating Infrastructure Fee for non-residents.

*(For 20' to 26' boats. More or less depending on the vessel length)

We also purchased our toon in DE (home of tax free shopping), but I wasn't able to register it there, would have been nice to beat that sales tax. I live in PA, member of the Pennsylvania Navy (yeah, i know.. :lol3 ), but I keep the boat, and do all my boating in Maryland waters, (principle use), so it's got MD numbers. Didn't the MD Gov pass a excise tax cap this year? prolly benefits the yachters, not us tooners.

here in CO the rates vary by length, three or four classifications. For our 25 footer we pay 45 bucks for the year. Just sent the check in this past weekend.

Then toss in another 110 bucks (I think it's 110) for two state parks car stickers.

I was in the PA Navy until 1993, when I defected to Maryland. I may defect to another state if they keep up their crap though. Any trailerable boat can be registered in DE. It's up to law enforcement to prove the state of primary use. I registered in DE because MD takes to much of my $$$$ already.

Consider yourself lucky. $373 for 1 year in Indiana without the trailer. Even our 11 year old SeaDoo is $73. Cars are similar, based on value.

GADZOOKS!!!

add the cost of trailer tags, you're probably over $500 for both.

$45 for 3 years here in this broke ass state of Illinois, knock on wood they don't figure out how to increase that. Although that was nearly 3 years ago, shit, they've probably already raised it, guess I'll find out early next year!
