In AZ all non-commercial trailers are permanent tags. Pay once and your done. I think it was around $35 for plate and fees for the boat trailer $25 for my 5x10 utility trailer.cleatus wrote:GADZOOKS!!!tms0425 wrote:Consider yourself lucky. $373 for 1 year in Indiana without the trailer. Even our 11 year old SeaDoo is $73. Cars are similar, based on value.
add the cost of trailer tags, you're probably over $500 for both.

That's the way it is in Arkansas on the trailer. The boat is every three years.BoatCop wrote:In AZ all non-commercial trailers are permanent tags. Pay once and your done. I'm curious if that ridiculously high rate in Indiana includes taxes? Our tags are relatively cheap here, but we pay every year for personal property taxes that includes boats, vehicles, and whatever else they dream up.

Most of it is excise tax rate based on value and age of the boat. There are various other registration and user fees buried in there too. There are no separate property tax bills here for boats.ksmith wrote:

Hawker is right about the 45 dollars but it is for a three year registration for a boat under 26'. Mine would be a bit more at 60 dollars due to it's longer length. But in addition to register a boat in W.V. you have to have a receipt that your personal property tax is payed up in full also. So many of the folks here with the nice high dollar boats will be paying hundreds of dollars a year "based on it's value" to utilize their boat. Since taxes and registration are tied together by law in W.V. it's actually misleading to the public to separate the two components into separate entries IMHO.MH Hawker wrote:I believe its 45 a year in wv its by length
