Aqua patio opinions
Hi all,
First post on the forum. Lots of great info and people here and I'm learning a lot about pontoons. I've owned glass boats my whole life but am in the market for a pontoon. I came across a 2013 aqua patio 220ls with 150 Yamaha four stroke . It has the third tube option package as well. Dealer is asking 29k and wanted your expert opinion on the boat, value and price. Price includes trailer. Thanks for taking the time to offer assistance.
Regards,
Brian

Yup, that looks like a real good deal especially with that 150 on the back. looks like he's making room for the 2014 that are already out. I doubt he'll do it but see if he'll throw in a trailer or give you a rock bottom price on one.

The deal looks fine. But does the boat have lifting strakes?
I wouldn't want a tritoon boat of that caliper without them, as a straked boat is worth 5-8 mph more on top end speed and increased fuel economy. The whole trick is to get the nosecones out of the water.

Thanks for the replies. The price does include the trailer and it has lifting strakes on upgraded 27 inch tubes. Also has led floor, deck and underwater lighting. And you are right, they are wanting to move for 2014 inventory.

With the triple tubes and 150 yammy, it's a nice deal, and with the straked 27" tubes, the ride will be smooth, high and dry.

Thanks for all the info gang. Working the numbers with the dealer now and seems we will likely have a deal in the next couple days. Of course, they are trying to make up some gain by going low on my trade but I'm not going to take too much of a hit on my crownline. Will be back to post some pics if it all comes together. Thanks again!
Re: Aqua patio opinions
Sounds like a real good deal. I sold my 06 a year ago for 20. It was the same, but only had a 115HP.

Not sure if this is a brand new toon or not but FYI the below deck lifetime warranty is ONLY good to the original purchaser.

Re: Aqua patio opinions
Thanks for all the input everyone. Just finished the deal yesterday and take delivery in two weeks. Ended up selling my crownline myself and was lucky enough to find a buyer in two weeks. Turns out the aqua patio price didn't include the trailer so package was 34k out the door tax, title and fees included. Does anyone have the Seagrass flooring? I really like it as I think it will be low maintenance but wondering about durability over time. One other question about batteries. Considering putting a second one for the lighting but not sure it's needed. At night, we could have the under seat mood, under deck, and underwater lighting on at the same time. I know LEDs don't have much draw but with them on and the radio not sure. Again, first pontoon for me and none of my glass boats had all the lights. I'll be sure to post some pics when I get it home. Thanks again for sharing your expertise.

Re: Aqua patio opinions
Congrats on the purchase.
Definitely get a second battery with a switch. I would have mine on my boat even if I didnt have LED's and big stereo (which I do). You never want to be out there and for some reason lose a battery.

That's great that you sold your boat instead of having to trade it. You still did well on the price.
Your Seagrass floor is really great stuff, and it will last a long time if you keep the boat dry and out of the sun.
LED lighting doesn't draw much amps, and a regular radio also won't draw much. It's when you get the power boosters with the sub woofers when you really need twin batteries. The deep cycle batteries are expensive and just don't have that long of a life span--thus I prefer just one high quality car battery. (My Bennington came with a no-name cheap deep cycle battery.)
You'll be really thrilled when you see what the boat will do on the water. They'll get up and run with the ski boats.

Re: Aqua patio opinions
Thanks cycle man. Love your South Bay. Looked at one and really liked them.
Re: Aqua patio opinions
Thanks Bamaman. You must love that Benny. Had another deal working on one but was just over what I wanted to spend. Thanks for the battery advice as I was thinking the same. I always carry a jump pack for back up but wasn't sure since this is my first pontoon set up.
PS...not sure if you're a bama fan but if so go easy on my irish next time...
