I hate winter....

#1 Post by Cycleman07 » Thu Jan 09, 2014 9:51 am

I keep my boat at my office as it is gated and has 24 hour surveillance...I dont know if I can stare at my boat from my office window one more day. :censored

Supposed to be near 60 on Sunday - sounds like a good day to get out there.

Chin up.

It's already 1/9/2014, and the winter weeks are passing by fast.

Only problem is that I'm getting older that much faster, too. And I'm not ready to be elderly.

I'm actually hoping for a drawn out winter. I'm hoping to have my boat built before the weather is nice.

If I could see the boat through a window, I would probably spend many evenings sitting on the deck of it with a lawn chair drinking a beer :drink4

I have been known to set my truck cruze control down as low as it will go put my boat play list on and slowly drive along a country road. It helps.

Good ideas guys. My sons baseball season (me coaching) should help the time go by rather quickly. Practice has already started. I should probably not wish time away. There is a boat show here in Tulsa in a couple of weeks. I am quite confident that will not help my winter hateage. Yes I just made that word up.

I already told my wife that I'm going -- can't afford to buy anything, but it's nice to drool over the new models :drool

Living in Colorado the worst time of year is the time between the boat being put away for winter and the start of the ski season. No boating and no skiing, bleh! At least int he spring the resorts are still open for spring skiing when the boat goes back in the water. Other than that month or two from mid Oct into late Nov I've usually got something to look forward to.

I got my fix last weekend at the Houston Boat Show. It's warm enough to put in but I've got assorted maintenance chores to finish on "Joy's Toy".
