Boat tie off

While at bass pro shop I saw a fiberglass rod that you stick in the water and tie off from rather then use your anchor. Now I can't remember the name and can'find it on line. Anyone seen it or know what it is call.

Are you talking about one of these? Available at yak-gear.com. Pic and description on their home page. Might be able to find one cheaper elsewhere.

These are some choices I was looking at but i just use 3/4 inch galvanized pipe with a rubber mallet and has worked for just fine so far.
I often wonder if Jimmy really did crack corn, and why should I care?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Did any of you ever go ahead and get some. How did they work?
