Reversing the head on stern mount trolling motor.

#1 Post by saltydawg2 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 2:47 pm

I have a Minn Kota Traxxis stern mount trolling motor I want to put at front of pontoon. I need to reverse the head, so the tiller is facing the pontoon and blade facing rear, as it should. Have heard it is fairly easy, but don't really want any suprises, like loaded springs, or anything. Anyone direct me to that information? Thanks! :?:

I did it many years ago and it was removing a screw, turning head around. hardest was getting screw through all the wires.

Thanks, guys. It was as easy as ya'll said. Even tested it after completing, in the livingroom. My grandaughter thought I had thrown a bearing, or something, from the look she gave my when she saw it, but kinda used to that look, now. When you're rich, it's eccentric. When you're poor, you are just plum crazy, you know? Thanks, again!
