is it spring yet

#1 Post by MH Hawker » Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:40 pm

I am having a week of 40 to 60 temps and i couldn't stand it any longer. I set in on the boat list yesterday and kicked it off with spraying the dock cover down with the 303 fabric protection and putting the battery on charge, today the battery passed a load test and knocked off about 6 items on the list. Expecting &^%*$&*$&* snow Thursday.

I actually saw a drop of water fall off my roof today. First one since November. So there's that.

LOL - we've actually got puddles up here now - but still have a LOT of snow to get rid of. It's gonna get messy over the next few weeks

We hit 50 degrees today for the first time since December 5th. There is still 2' of snow in my yard but even with that the sun made it feel like spring was here. Sadly there is a winter storm warning and we may get up to a foot of new snow Tuesday into Wednesday. It's my fault I took my plow and salter off my truck last Friday. They have been on it since early December. It was nice to drive without that stuff hanging on it, I felt like I was driving a race car all weekend . Even though snow work helps to pay the bills I am so ready for winter to end ! I might just have to go to our second boat show this weekend and get my boating fix !

After 2 days of the weather teasing us with above freezing temps, it was back to -28degC this morning.
Not impressed.

It was pretty nice here for the past week or so, sloughs in the fields all over, quite a few ducks and geese showing up. Then it snowed on Wednesday, and was -14 last night with a high of about -9 today. Going to be a while yet. Suppose to be cool tomorrow, so going to spend the day tying some rigs.
