Splashed

#1 Post by MH Hawker » Sat Mar 15, 2014 2:01 pm

Dropped mine to day so let summer began. It was a clear 60 degree day with a 15 gusting to 20 cross wind, but a fine day to be out on the water.

Sounds awesome! I've hammered the wife down to Sunday after next. If it's not warm enough she doesn't want to go, but I'm afraid I'm going anyways.

Hahaha!! Great point. We have someone else coming out with their boat too so I'm not above a boat to boat transfer if something happened and it got noisy. lol

I was going to go out today, temp was 63. High winds killed that idea, ugh. Took the time to install 10 rod holders and get 'er stocked up for the season. Fired the motor up and pretended I was out on the river a bit :paranoid

Oh yeah, from 63 today to snow Monday :fyou :x

68 here at Lake of the Ozarks yesterday, right now 33 & snow with a dusting. Winds forecast (and actual) 25-30 mph out of the NW with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Think I 'll wait awhile before trying to go out. lol!!

The Red River is still a bit of a mess. We got some decent rain this weekend and some crazy high winds today. Looks like we're still a couple weeks from splashdown here in Shreveport/Bossier.

Cheers,

Tony

Tony.... you should try Caddo lake... there's a nice launch with a huge parking lot in Oil City, also a much smaller launch in Mooringsport...I still havent gotten my tune "spring ready", but it won't be long now.... soon as it warms up a little, catch me on caddo crappie fishing... :nana

I really feel for you guys up there--
Been out every month this year--
I know I have to pay for that during the summer though-
I often wonder if Jimmy really did crack corn, and why should I care?
