Is this a good price on a 2014 Bennington 22 SLX Tri-Toon?

#1 Post by SnakeByte » Sat Mar 22, 2014 11:52 am

I'm looking at a 2014 Bennington 22 SLX Tri-Toon with the following:

Options:
150HP Yamaha
SPS Tri-Toon Package (Skinning, Strakes, Full Keels)
Sea Star Hydraulic Steering
2 Portable Cup Holders
Reclining G Series Helm Chair Upgrade
Echo 100 Garmin Fish/Depth
GPS Speedometer with Compass Heading
Upgraded Sony Stereo with USB
Docking Lights in ABS Housing
Ski Tow Bar

MSRP: $41,664
Dealer Sale Price: $31,400 including Freight/Prep

How does that feel?

It seems like a really good price based on what I've been seeing, but curious to hear others thoughts as it's hard to compare prices on new boats.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

10k off is a great price and you'll love the boat.

Make him an offer, another 4K off or include a trailer. He's still got room between cost and profit... trust me.

Run, don't stop on that deal. Price sounds more like a boat with a 90 or 115 hp rather than a 150 hp.

With a trailer, you're looking at a boat that commonly sells for right at $40K.

Just make sure that the dealer's putting a Reliance stainless prop on that puppy. My 24SSLX w/F150 has a 15 pitch prop, and it's perfect.

I certainly think that's a good deal.... but i would still push for a bit more... a trailer or a bit more off... the worst they can say is no, and you can still always jump on the deal offered... Good luck... you're going to love that benny...

Thanks everyone for all the great info.

I think we've pretty much decided to go with this model, although we've since added more options...it's funny how it becomes like a sushi checklist..."it's only $250 more..." before you know it you've quickly added $2k!

We've since decided on the following additional options:

In-Floor Storage
Heavy Duty Rub Rails
Bluetooth Upgrade
Battery Switch
Extended Bow
Panel Accent Color
Kicker Speaker Upgrade

Ugh...hopefully that's all...and hope I'm happy after this purchase...went from a self-imposed $20k budget to $35k boat. Do it once right?
