Draining Lake Norman

#1 Post by cwag911 » Wed Apr 02, 2014 4:54 am

For those of you that boat on Lake Norman, this is an interesting read. Duke Energy is draining the lake starting May 1st and it should be refilled by May 30th.

 Excellent! I love the "fish in the bath tub"! I have to send this to some LotO buddies! That's one lake that could really use a good draining! They say there is enough pee in Party Cove to raise the water level an inch, every weekend!

My bad, it was an April fools joke. I clicked the link for Duke Nature and it comes up "April Fools".  :rofl

Somebody showed me that yesterday. This is my favorite part..
"Refilling will begin on May 15 with the assistance of lake area residents, who are asked to use their garden hoses to put water back in the lake. They will be instructed to simply connect the hose to their outdoor faucets, then turn it on full. Duke Energy will supply extensions for those who need more hose to reach the shoreline."
