I am looking into powered marine subwoofers basically ready to be wired.
I've looked online at JBL MPS1000 10-Inch 250-Watt Powered Marine Subwoofer and a few others.
Any one out there recommend a powered, enclosed setup ready to go?

I used the non-marine version of the Bazooka Bass Tube (amplified) as I installed it under my helm which sees little moisture:

Here are the marine versions:

And it appears that they just introduced a new marine version:

All provide a greatly enhanced bass tone but does not create the BOOM BOOM crap that kills fish and pisses off fellow boaters and lake property owners.

I have the JBL sub you mentioned on my purchase list. I like the fact that it is powered and basically ready to go. No additional enclosure or amp needed.

Re: Powered Subwoofer Shopping
I have 2 of the Bazooka powered 250 watt D class subs. One in the front in a seat and one in a seat in the back. The sound is great and I highly recommend. The only thing I had to do was vent the seat to let the air out of the seat compartment.

I had an Infinity Bass Link in my Manitou, it worked real good.

I second the bass link ! Have it on my boat and it's been in a couple of my trucks as well.

It's hard to beat bazooka tubes if you want to go that route. FWIW: base on the water is a bit tricky because of all the open air, unlike in a vechicle.
