We were looking at a new Tracker "Fishin' Barge" with a Mercury 90HP two-stroke at the local dealership and the price was good, but I wanted a four-stroke, and the boss wanted more than a drop-down curtain from the bimini for the porta-potty. I will admit the Trackers rear live well setup is way better than the "under the couch" location of the G3. But the G3 has the aluminum cladding (or whatever the proper pontoon term is for that) underneath the deck instead of just exposed plywood.
I don't see a lot of posts here regarding G3. In fact, the brand isn't even listed in the "what brand do you own" poll. I've been told they only make around 2000 pontoon boats a year, as opposed to Tracker who makes 18,000. Those numbers are probably wrong and besides, smaller production runs don't always mean greater quality.
All that said, are G3's any better/worse than other pontoon boats in any way?
Thanks,
Kevin
