Re: Testing- new Playcraft 700hp I/O
chaz, i have seen this on several sites, and nobody is posting numbers. But its a 700, mine is a 670, so basically the same thing. BUT! I also read that this one has stepped toons, simlar to a stepped hull on a Fountain. The best I have ever hit is 78 on gps. So 30 more HP, and a stepped hull, Im going to say 85-90 in perfect conditions. Mine is a 26' extreme, not sure on the length of tbat one. JT
2002 playcraft extreme,26', I/O, 498 ci, 625 hp, 580 ft pounds of torgue, Dart alluminum heads, holly 850 carb, bravo XR drive. GPS 76 mph.

one of the things i am looking forward to with my toon is the aluminum and being able to polish out minor defects etc. after having nothing but gel coat boats, those red toons will look like crap in a year or two with all kinds of dings and scratches,
Boat is cool though.
Boat is cool though.
An over forty victim of fate....

If you wanted the different bow seats I'm sure they would do it. If you wanted a picture of your pet/best friend on the seats I'm sure they would do it. But it's going to cost you-They are the custom pontoon builder.Bryden24shp wrote:I'm missing all the cool posts! I gotta stop working and retire!
The Playcrafts are nice boats, my hats off to them for pushing the envelope so far.
But its really time for them to start looking at updating the bow seats. The flash is nice, but the designs are from the mid 00's, yet.
They could pull the wrap around design from their Hamptons and flash them up with some graphics.
But, 700 horsepower. I'm In!
JT, lets start building boats!!!
