poly tubes Viable option?
so we are picking up the new to us riviera cruiser this weekend. she is lake ready, but as with anything I buy used i am planning to renovate and make her cleaner, faster and just cooler. 24 foot, 135 hp i/o, she will get a new prop for my altitude and usage. I plan on doing some baseline performance testing prior to making any changes other than the prop, the prop that is on her is chunky to say the least.
i am looking at performance mods as well as aesthetic mods.
I am planning on lifting strakes, i have the ability to do this modification.
I have also seen many threads on tritoon conversions. i am interested in this also
has anyone ever seen these in use. my first impression is that they are going to add buoyancy, but cost speed and performance, they do have a large toon version with lifting strakes built in. what is you honest opinion?

Re: poly tubes Viable option?
figured they would not be as structurally sound as a solid tube.
the seams and the fact that they are not physically attached to the mounting hardware.
colorado does not have a lot of pontoon action so used logs are few and far between.

the rig is an I/O
not sure i want to go to the hassle of moving the i/o around
I had basically scratched these off my list of items, but wanted some feedback.
i guess ill have to just get the tap fins......
