Way too many for me.......
But I also use mine mainly to fish out of, not party on.
Can't wait for the seats to get here.

The new bunk carpet came today. I'll have to wait til I take the boat back to the lake before I can install it. I have a tracking number for everything else, but it isn't working yet so no idea when the rest will show up. But I can't pull the rest of the furniture until Saturday anyway.

All the furniture arrived yesterday. I have mixed feelings on it too. There's some things I really like, and some that I'm not overly impressed with. The color is one of the things I'm not ecstatic about. I was hoping they'd be more "white" than what they are. I chose these largely based on pics from "the floater" rebuild, and mine don't look anywhere near as white as some of those do in the pics. That's 100% on me though, as I didn't request any actual vinyl samples. The color isn't horrible though, and it's growing on me the more I look at them. I'm sure I'll forget about it in time.

I got the rest of the old seats taken off yesterday, and I pressure washed the old carpet. Now it's time to start cutting some of the new seat bases up and modifying them so I can store my fishing poles under them. I'll post some pics later.

Oh man I love my seats! I hope it just looked weird.... Trust me they aren't as pure white as the pics look... I do A LOT of cleaning! Admiral gets a little pissy at the time I spend on cleaning THE FLOATER while she packs everything to head home...

heres todays pic it was humid as hell!...

The seat color is a bit deceiving if you don't have them out in the sun. Once they are on your boat they will be much lighter in color. Inside lighting makes them look very dark.

I did a dry fit with all the furniture yesterday afternoon to see how it is gonna look on the boat. The color does look better outside, and it is growing on me. It's mostly a non-issue now. None of it is bolted together yet, as I plan to modify a couple of the bases by cutting a hole in the ends where 2 bases meet. I'm gonna cut some hollow "rings" for lack of a better term, out of sheet aluminum and sandwich the bases between them. Then cut the center of the rings out which should stiffen the ends again structurally. This will allow me to store some of my fishing poles in the bases.

After I had put a couple of the bases on the boat, I noticed some stains on the front of the bases which looked like fingerprints. I just assumed that I had did it, even though my hands were clean. The last base to go on the boat, I didn't even touch. I opened the box and let the base slide out on to the deck. It had the same stain, in the exact same spot as the others. So apparently whoever boxed them all up had dirty hands or something. I haven't tried to clean them yet, but plan to tomorrow. I'll try and get some pics of it. I'm curious what others are using to clean the bases with? Since I primarily fish out of my boat, I know they're gonna get dirty down the line.

I thought the seats were a little firm compared to my old ones which are 20 years old. But it seems like every time I sit on the new ones, they feel a little better. I do think I'm gonna enjoy them. I'm gonna get some kind of styrofoam sheets or something similar and line the inside of the flip/flop seat bottom to help insulate the cooler. The bottom of the flip flop base is nowhere close to being flat. I'm not sure if that's by design or not. But it's like a rocking chair right now. Once it's screwed down I'm sure it will be better, but I have to wonder how it's gonna hold up over the long term if it's flexing. I'll get some pics or video of that too. Was yours that way, Curtis?

I really like the addition of the lean backs, and there's a bunch of storage space in them. But I was slightly disappointed in the finish of the bases themselves. There are several spots were they aren't smooth. I'm thinking it's from where they came out of the mold. If I can capture it in a pic, I'll show what I'm talking about.

Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. And I'll definitely order from PS again. I'm gonna re-carpet, or maybe vinyl, the floor at a later date. And that will come from PS too. Right now I need to find a local source for some good plywood to redo my sun deck with. I ordered extra vinyl with my seats so it would all match. The sundeck is gonna be the sore thumb that stands out.....

We definitely felt the insulation issue this past Saturday! I was thinking of the Styrofoam myself. We went through 3 bags of ice in 5 hours, it was 95* though. I still love the fact that it saves cooler space, I can live with a couple extra bags of ice to make up the difference. Fingerprints are an issue on all the bases, but I think they are like that on any rotomolds. Yes some of mine have ruff patches just figured it is the way it is....I didn't notice the rocking but once you get them down they don't go anywhere! Actually I still have to tighten one bolt up, thanks for reminding me. The firmness wears off the more you use them so don't worry about that.

Can't wait to see pics!

Well the bases cleaned up with a little windex, so that's a good thing. I'm gonna try and work on some of the seats today and get them bolted together. Need to go buy a butt load of screws and stuff first though. Here's a bunch of pics from the last couple of days. Nothing is screwed together yet. These pics show the color of the seats though, and how far from white they are. Gonna buy some styrofoam today too and insulate the cooler. The seats feel better every time you sit on them, so they're definitely improving. And it's so damn nice to not be sitting on a bunch of tape! A friend saw a picture of them and showed his wife, and she is already telling him to get some for their toon.

These show the idea for opening up between the seat bases. I'm thinking about putting one of these on each side and bolting them together, then cutting the bases out of the center. I cut this ring out of a street sign, and it's a little thinner than I wanted, but I think it'll work okay. I don't have anything thicker laying around that's aluminum. If nothing else, I'll double them up on each side. I'm also gonna do the same thing where the 2nd base meets the corner base.

Wow I wasn't expecting that big of hole! I guess with the added bracing you should be ok. :coffee

I think I said that once........ :rofl

I think it'll be fine. If not, I'll come up with something else, or buy new bases if I mess these up.
