How to tie off a Big Mable without a tow bar?
Our pontoon doesn't have a tow bar accessory. How should we tie the Big Mable to the boat for towing folks? Have never towed anyone yet-any recs would be appreciated.

We tow a one person tube with this:

I don't know if there are any restrictions to the amount you can tow with it.

Re: How to tie off a Big Mable without a tow bar?
I think a tow rope was included with the Big Mable. I noticed from the picture that there's a V-split in the tow line. Can I just attach those to the stern cleats? Will they be strong enough? Here's a pic of what serves as our cleats (U-bolts) tho the pic is of our bow cleat. Unfortunately, our stern cleats aren't equal distance from the stern so we'd have to re-do the lengths of the V-split. Really looking forward to trying out the Mable!

Does your toon have eyes welded to the rear of veach log, where you would normally attach trailer kold-down straps?

We use something similar except ours has a pulley that slides back and forth - helps to sling the tube out easier. We also use one of those Power balls to keep the rope up out of the water.Coldbrew wrote:We tow a one person tube with this:

We tie a tube to one corner. Its not balanced but we weren't doing more than 12MPH and it worked just fine. If we tubed more I'd get something to even the load
