Dual battery switch do you have one. was it hard to setup

I really want to add a dual battery switch. But my sweetwater is it set up for house and starting battery
My outboard is a 25 hp Tohatsu. Any tips on setting up stuff.

Very easy. The grounds of both batteries and the boat need to be connected. Then Battery one to the battery one on the switch, battery two to battery two on the switch and finally the boat's power to the last connection on the switch. I would not run it on both as different battery capacities or a problem could drain both batteries. How are both batteries hooked up now? With such a small motor you may need to charge the batteries if you have much load on them.

The boat does not have duals. But I added a really nice radio and fish finder and vhf fixed mounted radio. It already had a livewell.

Get one of these. They work great.
When your motor is charging it combines and charges both batteries.

It's really a fairly easy process, although it seems confusing when looking at the diagrams.

Check out www.ezacdc.com. They have a full kit you can buy and you can also get a diagram from the site on how to hook it up.

There's also pictures int he rebuild thread in my signature of the setup and install. Not sure which page though.

Yes, the job may look intimidating, but they are super easy to hook up.
You'll be glad you have 2. At some point in time, one will die. Hasn't happened in the Premier yet, nor my old Manitou. But the last Baja I owned went through batteries left and right, due to the abuse I gave them. The first upgrade on my new boats-Dual batteries, and a mounted battery tender. Plug it in and forget it. Always fully charged batteries.
