Sorry no pic's for this post.
As we were driving through Guntersville Al, saturday about 9 PM there was a 2 tube pontoon had slid off its trailer.
The toon was setting one pontoon on the street one on the trailer. This was on hwy 431 in the sharp S curve area by the McDonalds if your framilier with the town, police were directing traffic.
Didn't see any straps hanging from the rear of the toon or trailer.
Good reminder to, check that the pontoons are actually in the correct position and to use a rear strap.
How would a toon get reloaded when that happens, tow truck with a cable boom?
Tie your pontoon down

Re: Tie your pontoon down
I've seen a few toons slide off center lift trailers. A few guys can usually just tip those back in place. Loosing a boat off of a float on bunk trailer would be tougher to get back on. The bunk guides should hold the boat centered I would think. It is amazing to see how some people load and haul stuff, gravity isn't enough to hold a load once your moving down the road l.o.l.

Re: Tie your pontoon down
Use a back up strap for the winch up from too, they can break and do so at the worst times

Re: Tie your pontoon down
Saw a toon yesterday on the highway that didn't use straps on the rear of the tubes - they just used some old rope that ran down and under the bunks and back up. I guess that might put a little downward force onto the bunk, but it won't hold if the winch strap broke and I'm not even sure it would be strong enough to hold a sideways force around a sharp turn.
