How do you clean stainless steel prop?

#1 Post by Mosnowman » Fri Sep 05, 2014 6:09 am

Any suggestions on what to use on a stainless steel prop? Boat sat in wet slip for 3 months this summer and prop has a coating of hard to remove "stuff".

Thanks for any help!

I have to wonder if "Barkeepers Friend" would be a good choice to try:

Are you looking at a thin coat of hard water lime deposits? Stick it in a bucket of vinegar for a few days. Then polish it up with chrome polish and a micro cloth.

If I did that, it would be cheaper to just buy a new one! :paranoid
