Little update on operation grill project.
Ordered my gas filled mounts well they sent the wrong one to start with. From China.. LOL
So I got on their case, people were super nice told me to keep the shorter one, they were upgrading me to the shinny ones.
So i'm getting right persnickety on your guys ...

Still have to get a week day off and it won't be this week but have to get the body of the grill to the fab shop so they can do a little cutting and modding but as soon as I can get it to them, finishing out the rest won't be to bad.

Its getting there Little at a time.

Not even a marina with fuel within 25 miles, snack bar, bathroom, nothing.
Good thing is LE if they do come from the CG base or fish and game, put in the the one boat ramp on the Little River, ya got to love Carolina paid employees. They want to be home by 5 pm every night. You can take that to the bank.

PS.. The real party don't begin till 6..... :biggrin2

At last count we had 16ish... Far too many for us to have crawled every one this year... Have about 6 (?) within an hours ride on the twisted snake of a lake we call Norris Lake....

Restaurants are nice but there is nothing better then being on the water with family in a pontoon beached or fishing and have a good or fashion grilled burger or dog. Just something about it.

Bingo.. :thumbsup

Or camping out. AKA RV'ing out. :thumbsup

Mentioned to you before about the GONE FISHING RIG.
Did a lot of cookouts with that thing to. 5 years played with that thing not the first night paying for a camping spot.
Step out the camper and grill.. Same grill mounted on the ATV now use at the track. There is always a party going on after the race on those two and three day events. > BYOB.<We bring our own grill and food to.
Just something about doing it yourself.
Got a little LED under that grill rack so I can see cooking at night to. :)

Absolutely not knocking by any means.... If our situation was different I'm sure we'de be doing the same gig... Our grill is on the front porch closest to the rocking chairs and table...

After seeing you guys and wanting a home style grill on the boat, did a little planning and and little modding but it all come together.
Used two gas powered cylinders, cut the bottom of the grill off made a plate for that, and mounted the cylinders to the outside .. Bottom is supported by 40 gauge stainless under the mounts and bolted to the side of the grill.
Push the levers down the grill comes up to cooking height, then have the GF handle one side and the grill moved back down out of the way while running and does not obstruct your sight.
Mounting the bottle under the CC and can open the top where it was for a trash can, turn it on and off so tank is completely out of view.
Had fun with the designing and learned a lot from you guys. Did buy a bench seat to replace the captain's chair, GF wants to be able to sit with me and snuggle as she calls it but for the most part, its finished.

Very cool ideal. Never thought of anything like that. Might have to do some changing on mine. Like that and also the plate on the floor. Again great ideal

KylefromNJ, let me say that mediocre minds think alike.... or something like that :biggrin2 . I was just as cheap as you! I think I have the same Walmart grill and instead of the fancy shelf brackets you used I made mine out of PVC and 1/4" paneling. When not grilling, the PVC brackets come apart and the whole thing gets stored under the sun deck out of sight.

Not fancy, but a couple of years of use so far and seems to be as good as new.

Haha....that's my "under the helm point towards the floating people drinking beer" speaker. It has a high tech design that allows me to point it in any direction or height.... :drive

Thank you sir.
One thing I forgot to mention. The little tray we all pull out to get rid of the grease.
I ordered the gas sturts where the tray would be in the middle of the rails so no problem pulling it out and cleaning.
Headed home have two days to tinker on it and a friends boat i'm fixing for her so the toon will be finished this weekend.
Now can't wait till next summer. LOL
