Tilt/trim problems!!!!!

#1 Post by wijames » Wed Nov 19, 2014 5:58 am

I don't use tilt /trim much as I keep my toon in a high and dry but last week when I was doing the maintenance I went to check the hydraulic fluid I noticed that when I tried to tilt the motor up it when up fine for a few seconds and then started just going up in short spurts. I put it back down and it went fine but wouldn’t go back up. Any ideas about what it might be?

No, didn't have a big screw driver with me to release manual tilt. Going to try that this weekend. Do you know if I should be able to tilt that motor up manualy by myself?

Likely need a helper or at the least a spotter.... But yes you should be able to lift without issue as the T&T does not actually attach to the motor itself it only pushes against it.
