Has anybody added a half front gate to their toon? How much did the gate cost? Thanks

Are you trying to replace a full gate, or add an additional gate? Adding a gate could get hard to do depending on your boat. Replacing one might not be as hard but both could be expensive and gate might be hard to find. Unless you can find a used gate off a old too somewhere.

I will be replacing my front full gate. I suspect it will be expensive since it seems everything is expensive, but I would rather do that than leave the gate open all the time with the trolling motor down.

You could have your current door altered at the local machine/welding shop, shouldn't cost as much as ordering a new one from Godfrey Pontoons. or if you are handy, fab it yourself.

It just so happens I picked up my half gate about a week ago at the dealer. Had to order it from Godfrey and it was a little under 200 uninstalled. Have not put it on yet. It's got a bag full of little pieces but hopefully will be straightforward to install. I believe they told me 6-8 weeks to get in but was only about 3 I think.

Mine Came that way in 91, it was a fish and fun , so you could get TM under it, can you cut yours down to work, the hinge side stays the same, you just shorten the door skin

That's not a bad price, but I think I may pass until fall. I'm just going to keep the gate open when it is stowed, and I'll pull the motor off the bow when not fishing.

just for safety's sake ,,,maybe throw a chain or rope or webbing across the open gate to keep someone from falling off the bow underway,,, that NEVER turns out good :nono
