What position?
I have the cover wrapped and zipped into place which puts the bimini top in what I'd refer to as a "reclined" position.
Unless I lay the frame down flat and tie it down, it appears to be locked in a reasonable position.
What say you all?
I'm leaving tomorrow morning (Monday) to put it back in at El Dorado.

Re: Traveling with Bimini Top in ...
I wondered the same thing as mine will lay all the way forward, all the way back or in the "radar" position as they call it. The position the frame is when in use, sorta at a 45 degree angle.
My thought was all the way back and there is nothing to get blown back if a lanyard comes loose. All the way forward and the wind could snap it back the other way. In the radar position it leans to the front and the zipper on the boots is to the rear as to not catch the wind. The zipper on the boot is what made me choose what position to carry it at. I didn't want the wind to make it come open, Dunno if that helps but that's what I came up with

Re: Traveling with Bimini Top in ...
I like to leave mine up(45) as long as low trees aren't a problem. I put some short bungees to assist the zipper boot.

Drop it all the way down to stop that little bit of drag it causes in the radar position, but either way will work

I've trailer the pontoon with the Bimini in this position without any problem.

Don't have any pics, but my bimini set up has what I call a "short rail"..... I normally tow mine hooked up to the short rail which holds the bimini about 6 inches or so above the rail.
