Thought we were sold on a Manitou, but now we've seen an Avalon Catalina. Any Avalon owners or detractors out there?

I like all the quality brands of pontoon boats. And Avalon's one of them. Their big thing is using 50 ounce vinyl upholstery--thickest in the industry.

If you're interested, Avalon/Tahoe's biggest dealer is T&M Marine in Minnesota. They keep 200-500 pontoons on hand all the time, and Tahoes are private labeled Grand Island T series. You might want to see their prices to the dealer you're talking to--for comparison purposes. See: TandMMarine.com

Bought a new Tahoe tritoon last year. Love the way it handles. Got the 23' with a Etec 250HO. Rides great, runs great and has plenty of power if I need it.

That's where I bought mine. The discount was so good, it was worth driving 1,100 miles each way to buy there. However, do not expect ANYTHING in the way of post-sale support, and if you can bring your own trailer, do so. Their "Grand Island" trailers are made in the back of the shop, and they are CRAP.

LOVE my Tahoe.
