It will all depend on the type of air bag you want, and the systems capabilities.

I have about as simple of setup as you can get. I bolted my helper bags to the leaf spring, and drilled and bolted the upper bracked to my frame. So I have a helper bag, that didn't get rid of anything from the factory on my truck. I ran my valves to just inside the bedside, right by the tailgate easily. These are simple tire valves that I have to manuall air up when I want to tow. When I'm done, I deflate back to 20lbs of PSI for best ride performance. My system was cheap, under $230 shipped to my door, and I installed it.

Now, if you want a system that takes the place of your shock absorbers, and has an onboard compressor with a guage to see the psi in the bags, and to have that intalled, will run you substantially more. My guess is upwards near $500-$750 for the system, and another $500 or so for installation.

Your results may vary, and you won't know for sure, until you shop around.

Well, technically, it's in the General Pontoon & Deckboat Discussion, which in this case, is regarding pulling one of these, I'd imagine.

Off topic, on this board, is more for things that are not related to boats, and pulling or towing of said boats at all.

It would be nice to have a "towing" section though, maybe....

These are similar to what I put on my f-150 a couple of years ago and they've performed very well for me. It's pretty much the same thing that GXPWeasel described, but without the drilling.

I bought mine from AutoAnything, AirLift with the remote control pump on sale for $325.00 with a $100 rebate, last spring. If you are 1/2 mechanical, you can install it yourself. Or if you live close to me, I'll help! For about 10 30 packs of BudLight! Should last a week or two!

I put a set of AirRide's on my F250 diesel truck to level up my bumper when I hook up to my fifth wheel trailer with a 2000 lb. pin weight. They were about $250.

The installation was simple, however reading the instruction booklet on assembling each airbag was like reading German. I went on UTube.com and they had a video of how to install my exact airbags.

Since I seldom use the bags, I'm carrying a Harbor Freight air tank that'll pump the airbags and one tire up.

With a few pounds of pressure in the air bags, I like the slightly firmer rear end, and it seems to make the truck steer, handle and stop better when it's level.
