6 inches of rain sucks

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Wed Apr 22, 2015 12:58 pm

I just heard from my neighbor at the lake.

Here is what 6 inches of rain in 5 days did to my boat cover and the lake.
Luckily he looks after my stuff when he goes down.

I can't get down till next Thursday so I had him release the straps. which seemed to help a ton. I need to take down my pool cover pump to pump it out.

I built a backbone out of 1-1/5" PVC that runs the length of the playpen to give the cover a ridge to keep that from happening.

My husband just made one for our boat. It looks like I have another high pitched house in the back yard. :biggrin2 It does the job so it's all good.

Hey, consider yourself lucky to have rain so it keeps the lakes and rivers full. You could be in a drought like California. Seventeen years ago, this lake was my stomping grounds. You could have a lake that looks like this. http://www.fromdatestodiapers.com/our-v ... olsom-lake Makes me sick.

send the rain my way we are in a burn ban. just had a fire last week that came really close to my house. In fact it was so close we were in a mandatory evacuation for the night.

What happens at the lake stays at the lake. Unless I have my camera handy.

Yeah, it could've dropped some in Kansas before heading east.

El Dorado is about 3.5 feet low.

We'd be glad to send you some of our rain if it was possible. Two days rain, one day clear. And very heavy winds with the change of seasons.

I've been using a wet/dry vacuum to suck water out of such situations. They're fast, and easily emptied for another load.
