Boat Dock Forums?

I've been looking for a while now for a website specifically related to boat dock discussions. We live on the lake and it seems like i'm always looking for new or better ways to improve our floating dock. Does anyone have a link or a favorite go-to site for boat dock topics? Maybe we could have one added here if there aren't any other outlets available.

I've never seen such a specialized forum. The best information I've run up on is in all the suppliers for the parts--online catalogs.

My best source of dock and boathouse information is just getting out on my Waverunner and inspecting what professionals are building on my lake.

Our Tennessee River docks are fixed on 4" steel poles driven through the lake bottom until it hits bedrock. Most of new boathouses are concrete flat decks above the boats and matching concrete decks 3' off the maximum pool level. Unfortunately, the single boathouse/docks are about $60k and the double units are pushing $100k.

I'd just suggest you get out and inspect the better looking boat docks on your lake.

Hmmm, I don't know of any dock forums, but there folks on here with both fixed and floating docks that perhaps could help.

As a long shot, maybe there is a lake forum for your lake, that could answer dock related questions.

Our lake is has a dam and changes as much as 20 feet each season so it wouldn't be a fixed dock. I've looked around with little success to find info on floating docks. I'm not complaining, just would like to have a place to share tips and tricks to make maintenence on floating docks a little less difficult. I do the majority of the work myself, but I still run up on the occasional problem.
