Keep in mind to when dealing with the "BIG BOX" stores like Cabelas and Bass Pro is that your salesperson may or may not really be highly versed in the boat department.... We knew exactly what we were looking for so buying from Bass Pro was a simple painless process....
As to the Bigfoot 60 so far I really like the motor thus far on our boat....

Re: Question regarding boat motor- Buying new boat
Thanks guys/gals....this all helps. My big thing is as long as I get the 5 year warranty from the date of our purchase on the motor I'm fine....yes I'd of liked to hear more of that up front, but....at the same time, we're just ready for everything to be ready to go. The guys at bass pro were good, but when we wanted to talk about what trolling motor and fish finder was the standard vs. what we wanted, they couldn't show us that model and then started charging us labor to install anything than the standard...Cabelas guy was at least honest and said whatever fish finder you want, we're going to put it on without labor etc, he threw in the trolling motor bracket so we could take it completely off to store etc. Lots of games, which I understand is business, but Cabelas at least was willing to point us in the right direction and send us to their best guy in fish finders who wasn't peddling the highest end model.
Re: Question regarding boat motor- Buying new boat
I cam across this post and wanted to ask a specific question about Cabela's in KC. I've been working with John Paris there and am expecting my new Lowe SF232 w/150hp Mercury anytime. Did you order yours? If so, how long did it take from order to delivery? I ordered mine before Memorial Day and am still waiting. Obviously impatient, but just wanted to see what was realistic.
Thanks.
Thanks.
