I'm told that otters cause a lot of damage to boats left in the water during the winter here on Norris Lake in Tn... They like to invade pontoon boats that are covered up... For that reason I was told we are better off leaving our covers off the boat as spiders and birds are not an issue in the winter months....

Yes, watch for otters! One made its home on our dock last winter and gnawed a hole in one of the lift's polyethylene tanks. Didn't see the guy on the dock, only discovered he was really living under our toon on the lift when the boat was riding in the water and not up on the lift. Really lucky that we had 4 dock lines and fenders on.

Vermin damage is not covered. They define vermin as mice, rats, squirell's. Raccoons aren't classified as vermin so it is covered.

Duh, raccoons wear those silly bandit masks, so they must be criminals, whereas squirrels are just stupid, brainless, dumber than rocks, ignorant, idiotic rodents with death wishes.
