Grill mounted on Premier w/o using railing

I just added a grill to my Premier 220 Sunsation. As some know Premiers have full panels making railing brackets difficult to use-plus I didn't want to scratch up my rails. I put a Springfield Marine Thread-lock pontoon table base (same as my OEM table base) and 24" round table onto the motor pod reinforcement plate. I secured it with six (6) SS 1/4-20 screws and nylon insert lock nuts. The grill is a Cuisinart. I didn't want the grill to be tied down to only pontoon use so I drilled 8 holes in the table top and simply tie it down for use. This lets me use the same grill on shore when camping.

For anyone wondering the outboard most screw is sufficiently far from the edge of the reinforcement plate and the screws are all well torqued with washers and lock nuts. It anything the table base pedestal casting adds stiffness.

Great Idea, that table is very convenient for grilling.

I like it. I have the same grill with rail mounts. I don't like the mounts, may plagiarize your idea.

Very nice job and what a good idea! Even has a convenient cup holder for your soda (beer).

I've considered how to mount a grill, and I really like your idea. It just makes me nervous grilling that close to 24 gallons of gas in my transom tank.

46 Gallons here. It was first question I got at work. But honestly it's a sturdy mount, but I wouldn't use it on a very windy day. It's got plenty of space between it and the fuel tank-unless it broke and fell over. I think with everything being in open air we're good there.
