Where did you buy it from? I can't even find a place on the net to purchase. Pease tell more about improvements over and above just stopping someone from banging into the prop when on anchor and swimming around.
Thanks!

Found that but nothing on that page actually takes you to a dealer. The 'click to find a dealer' just takes me back to that page. I'm sure I could fill out the form at the bottom but really?
It's surprising that a search of the internet doesn't quickly produce a single page from a dealer listing the models and prices. I did find one on Amazon but its for small motors.

Yeah, I've found the same thing. I've sent them an e-mail. They're here in Colorado. I may have to hunt them down! They probably quit making prop guards, to go into the Marijuana Growing business - higher profits. It's legal here...

Just a thought, when swimming, why not tilt the engine and wrap a wet towel around the prop.

I strap an old life jacket around our prop. Works really good.

I have a 20 year old boat with a 4 foot swim deck up front, as well as a front and side mount ladders and the high sun deck in the back. I don't like the new boats with the platform in the back for just this reason. I understand the industry has moved this way to redistribute wight and flatten out the profile instead of the nose high look
you see on older boats but that puts every one up close to the motor. even if you cover the prop with a 5 gallon bucket you can still fall on the motor as you climb up the ladder sorry that dont help much but then again maybe it is as simple as a prop sized bucket and a bunjy cord

[quote="Valet37"]I was out floating behind our anchored boat and the wake pushed me away from the group. I didn't realize how close to the boat I was and kicked my feet out to swim back. Caught the ball of my foot on the prop. 13 stitches and two weeks later my foot is pretty much healed up. But now we're really worried about the safety of our kids and guests.
Sorry for your injury. Never heard of anything like that happening. The Trihull racing guys cover their props sometimes with a heavy canvas bag looking affair. Their props are extremely sharp. I suspect that if this is of great concern to you, you might consider building some sort of box to cover your prop with the motor tilted up high. A boat in general has all kinds of hazards hiding while folks are out of the boat frolicking in the water. On ours the most often noticed is when a large wake finds its way to move the 3000 pounds of mass in all sorts of dangerous directions. Another that will surprise you is the transom mounted tranducer will give a rather strong "shock" if contacted while on.

I think these are the ticket. Are they a universal fit?
