Tilt/Trim Problem

#1 Post by Johnny.Mac » Sat Jul 25, 2015 4:04 pm

It is making a noise like it wants to work but it will not lift up or down. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is that screw where I put the hydraulic fluid?

If the tilt motor is running check for the fluid on the cylinder. It might be low and need a fill up.

also your motor may have locked in place, that looks like a non-original tilt on that 50hp so it may still have the manual tilt "lock" still in place which will cause it to latch onto the trim pin (bar that runs between the lower part of the clamp brackets)
