New Model Manitou's

#1 Post by Bryden24shp » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:00 am

Hey guys! Just want to share a couple new Mantou's with you. Denise and I have been working with Manitou on building a full windshield model for 6 years now. And its finally, here. We bought our Premier S-Series for this feature because with my job at the plant and my EzFender business, I don't get alot of boating time and it extended my season well into late fall and allows me to start in late winter. Basically, if the rivers not frozen, I'm on it when I can, due to the windsheild and bow access closure. The new fiberglass model, is built just as a runaboat, has a molded deck and interior, and is very cool! They are moving into their new factory. I'm hopefully heading up that way in October, so I can get more pics and info then. Even though I bought the Premier, I have been in constant contact with the Manitou camp and am very excited about this. The Premier has been a great boat, don't get me wrong! But, I have always been a true Manitou man. They always treated Denise and I very well. As you can tell by the video and brochure we shot with them, when we owned our Manny. Needless to say, the Premier may be up for sale, real soon! I'll keep you posted!

Really sweet looking! Does that tower fold down? I'd never be able to get that on the lift in my dock if didn't fold down.

From what I gather, yes. Electronically folds forward. I haven't seen the mechanics of it yet. That's why I can't wait to see them in person and get my hands dirty. I'll find out for sure..... It almost has to, it would never fit under our bridge when the river floods!

those are stunning. the biggest problem i have with the new pontoon with wakeboard type towers is the micro bimini. one of the reasons i love my premier is the massive bimini. its not even the full cover but the bimini extends all the way from the motor to well past the helm. my neighbor has a killer new benni with a tower and it has the same kind of small bimini. if you have any pull with manitou, i'd sure love to see a tower model with a larger bimini. maybe i'm in the minority, but usually our family and friends choose the seats under the cover vs. out in the sun.

Looks very nice....similar to the Harris Crowne. The Harris has a power tower. Here is a quote from some place that tested the Crowne:

"One of the most notable options is a power-folding sport arch with integrated bimini and LED lighting and an aft-facing camera if you so choose."

I second that, on the bimini top..... gotta have some shade, if you're in a 'toon.....

I really dig the windshield models, now someone NEEDS to make one with a rear fishing station and have canvas that drops down from the arch/Bimini the snaps to the windshield for those less than perfect days! Only seen one like this and it was a custom built Premier SS that a retired Engineer from Premier had built. Basically a good old big water aluminum fishing boat layout in pontoon form.

Looks to be out'ta my price range.

A boat like that would cost 2x that of my first house.

There are not many features about pontoons I do not like, but those pitifully small windshield do nothing but distort my vision if I'm trying to look through it, and not over it.

Larger and lightly tinted winshields, please. Function outweighs looks, IMHO.

Its official.... The Premier is for sale! I am getting it ready to sell, right now. Thats not gonna take much... I just ordered a new bimini and boot for it, from Premier. The existing is a tad sun faded and alittle worn from windy days on Lake of the Ozarks. I should have it in 2 to 6 weeks, it has to be made by Premiers fabric shop. I'm not telling anyone what I am getting, until its here. If ya want to guess, thats cool! When its ready to sell, I'll post it here before anywhere else, because I would like to keep it in OUR family.
