Way cool. I've owned two of them. A 1967 and a '76. Along with about 8 beetles.

My current throwback to my childhood is a '69 Bug that I restored in 2001. It's now in the hands of my grandkids for them to use while in high school. The youngest just turned 16. As soon as they're done with it, I'll take it back and restore/soup it up again.

I don't think I'll be taking it on my pontoon, though.

The Vanwagon pulls incredible prices on the used car market. Much more than you'd think.

They'd be a hoss with a modern built engine--like what they're putting in dune buggies. Stock VW engines were beyond underpowered in such a large vehicle.
