Who sells bunks with that slick material all ready mounted on the boards?

Re: trailer bunks
I don't know if anybody does, but it only took me about a half hour to apply them to my bunks before I recovered the boat.
And that was while chatting and having a beer with my (adult) son.

Re: trailer bunks
You can buy it online from Overton's, I replaced my bunk boards and covered them with it.

Re: trailer bunks
I bought new treated wood (2x6 ripped to an oversized 2x4 to better fit the material) and installed the plastic bunk cover on it. Then all I needed to do was swap the carpeted bunks for the new plastic covered bunks. Much easier than trying to install on bunks already on the trailer. I had my dealer lift the boat off while I swapped the bunks.
The material I used is the Caliber Bunk Wrap
I am very happy with the new bunks - MUCH easier unloading and loading!

Re: trailer bunks
I was hoping to find them complete, boards and all ready to bolt on.

Re: trailer bunks
This is the same stuff my trailer came with. Works very well. Extremely slick when wet.PontoonRon wrote:I bought new treated wood (2x6 ripped to an oversized 2x4 to better fit the material) and installed the plastic bunk cover on it. Re: trailer bunks
I just had to change the bunks and it was no big deal, went to the local lumber yard and got treated 2x4x16 and bolted them on. I know about treated lumber and aluminum so I got bunk glides.
We launch at some shallow ramps and I wanted something slick for the loading/unloading.(trailer has 14" tires) I just put the Surfix bunk glides on our trailer and am very happy. Very easy to install. Made loading MUCH easier.
MUCH less strain on the winch. For that reason I anticipate that it will make it much easier to unload on shallow ramps too.
Just have to make sure it is strapped down good when on trailer.
