Boat/Mooring Covers (again)

#1 Post by Dragon1 » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:43 am

I am looking for options to a custom snap-on mooring cover. Although I still may go this route, we get pounded with the sun here, and I like the idea of being able to cover all of the playpen and fore/aft carpeted decks to prevent sun damage.

There are many 'standard' type of covers out there, so I wanted to find out what others are using and how they are working.
I think i want one that can be put on when boat is in water as well as out, maybe attached with straps and bunge cords .

Appreciate any feedback - whats good/bad or ugly - and thanks in advance

If my boat were exposed to direct weather 24/7 I would opt for the custom made snap-on cover from a high grade breathable material such as SunBrella but since my boat sits under roof I was only worried about spider/bird poop and pollen etc I went with a universal 12000D stretch cover from http://www.vortexdirect.com
