Realistically speaking that's not bad at all, even before you consider that on a 2-toon without strakes returns diminish quickly past a certain point. IIRC aren't you the same guy that went from a 5.3 Silverado to a 2500 Duramax to pull your pontoon? You may just have unrealistic expectations.
Yeah that would be me, I agree my expectations were high. Some of that was based on reviews I had read and I'm one who will review an item based on facts and real world experience.

If I based my review on $650 for 2 MPH I would have to say, put that money somewhere else. I do like the hole shot, it's got a lot of torque. That's the good, What I have trouble understanding is even if I'm over propped I should have picked a skosch of RPM increase but I had zero increase.

As far as the Duramx vs a 5.3 no comparison. I got what I paid for when I bought the diesel and again when I had it Dyno tuned..Just saying.

The biggest gain I noticed was the fuel usage after the burn. I gained holeshot, midrange punch and a bit of speed. But my best gain was in fuel burn. It paid for itself in fuel savings. But, we are talking taking a 225 to 310 (318hp on the dyno). I was extremely happy with my burn... Like I said, if you're not happy with yours, call Eric, he will re-burn to stock and refund your money. He's a good guy who knows his business. If you're unhappy---He is unhappy!

Comments like this are what help me keep an open mind about realist expectations about the burn and it is a sad fact that (1) I simply don't have enough history with my 75 motor. (2) I may have had unattainable expectations since I truly gained so much speed in going from the 60 to the 75 as by all accounts I gained nearest to an honest 12 miles an hour. (3) I changed the Bimini top configuration in a big way before testing the ECM... If this burn gives me fuel economy that I did not have SUPER, if this burn gives me torque reserves to least keep my speed up while I'm loaded for bear and pulling tubes then again SUPER...

Truthfully I'm just pretty happy that I've been able to include just about every feature the larger higher-end boats have, make them work with little compromise yet keep a very small boat cozy and intamite...
