should I put wax on new pontoons? to keep them clean.

that wont do much if any thing use shark hide

How long does it take to get them shining with Shark Hide? Does it cut pretty fast? It looks nice, but I have my concerns that you have to do it again and again to keep the shine up.

I use an aluminum wax on my pontoons after I shine them. I think it gives them a layer of protection, but it's not like using Sharkhide. It's about 1/10 the cost though. :biggrin2

Sharkhide does make a polish, but when most people on this forum talk about it they're talking about the protection product they offer. You'd use it on already shinny pontoons to keep them that way. Doesn't last if your boat is in the water all season though.
