Another #@*!*\! Trailer Issue

#1 Post by C_M_25 » Thu Jun 02, 2016 6:40 pm

This is my last shot before I put this piece of crap up for sale. Brand new tandem axle trailer, 3 good hubs and seals and one squeaky one. Pulled the squeaky wheel only to find that the seal was failing. Bought two new seals and dented one when I installed it so it started leaking a bit of grease. Popped it off and put a new one on. No issues during installation. Just pulled it to the lake and back and noticed a small amount of grease seeping out around where the seal contacts the spindle. I have no idea what to do now. Could this be a little grease slip that was caught between the double lips on the seal and it is just coming out? I wonder if it could be a bad spindle?

I'm betting you got a cheap chink pos axle(S) on your trailer.

I had a cargo trailer with a similar issue as well as chewing hell out of tires.

Took 4 different sets before the manufacturer finally sent an American made axle set.

No more problems.
