Metal building recommendations

#1 Post by Jayjoans » Wed Feb 01, 2017 1:26 pm

I'm looking for recommendations for vendors of metal buildings to house our new purchase. We have room for a 24' x 32', and I think I want to go to a fully enclosed garage since it will be out of my daily sight. I don't need anything super duper, we have no snow here and I want to keep the cost down. I'm envisioning little more than a carport with the sides filled in and a garage door on the front.

Anybody have good/bad tips to pass on as to whom I should contact? I'm in CA, and I've found many of the midwest/south suppliers don't work here.

Any other hints and tips are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Where in CA are you located? I'm in the Central Valley and we have some builders here that I think have what you're looking for.

I'm in the east bay, near Walnut Creek.

Thanks for your help!

So sorry it took so long to get back to you. It's been raining like crazy out here and same for you I'm sure so I just stopped at the local hardware store and took a picture of the advertisement that they had posted there. Here they are and I hope it works for you. Like I said, a lot of people use them out here and it seems like this is the company that they use. The rain has stopped for a few days now so I can take a picture of one that is up if you want, just let me know.

Got my building completed yesterday, should be picking up the new (to me) pontoon purchase this weekend.

I was very happy with California All Steel out of Fresno if anybody in CA is looking for a quality building. From order to completed installation was 10 days. The guys did a great job and my new 23' x 32' boathouse looks great.

I've got a metal shed like above, you can have the sides top to bottom or half way.

Apologies for not talking carports, but ..

Capt Sully, what brand of sailboat do you have tucked under cover? I sailed a 23 ft Precision (P23) on Lake Sinclair for 20 years. Those were some great days on the water, particularly when the wind blew! Your boat brought back good vibes!
