Prop starting point

#1 Post by DWRAT » Wed Mar 15, 2017 6:10 am

I'm installing a Merc 150 4-stroke next month.
I need advice on a prop to start with.
My boat is 22' tri-toon (finally), I added a 3/4 center toon.
2012 SouthBay 722CRO 115hp Merc 4-stroke. Edit, make that a 150hp Merc 4-stroke now.

From what I am seeing from Mercury reviews and spec sheets. The Enertia is the best choice. Size, that's the tough part... Will the dealer let you play with props? I would probably start out at a 15x15 on a 1.92 gearcase. What do you think you are weighing in at with that 3/4 pod? We can crunch the #'s on my simulator...
