Transom replacement products?

#1 Post by mgarvie » Thu Apr 20, 2017 2:11 pm

Any companies out there ever come up with a better replacement for a wood transom? Figured by now someone would have made a drop in metal replacement piece?

You could certainly have one fabricated at a good welding ship.

My old pontoon is a 1985 model, and the laminated marine plywood transom is still sound. Wouldn't want to risk hanging a new 150 hp 4 stroke money on a wooden transom however.
