Re: pontoonstuff.com
Thanks guys... looks like I'm going to have to break down and buy a cover for my toon... the guy that owns the place where I store my boat wants me to take the boat out because he needs the space for his auction business... which means I will have to park it in my driveway next to my garage, which means I need to get gutters put up on that side of the garage and buy a good cover for it.. I already have a cover that came with the boat but it is such a pain to put on... thought I'd call PS and look into one of theirs..... we talked about one of those metal car port things they sell for 6 or 7 hundred bucks but because of all the trees in my yard it would be way too much of hassel backing the boat thru that maze... so driveway it is... thanks for your help guys.

Re: pontoonstuff.com
I don't know if you have the room beside your garage, however a pretty good investment would be one of those aluminum carports--with sides. Carports.com and other such websites have great programs to spec. them out.
I've kept my pontoons (since 1985) completely undercover (inside) and the seating and carpet just lasts so long. I cannot say you'd keep so dry and out of the weather just with a cover.
My OEM Bennington cover only goes on my boat in the late Fall--and stays on until April. To reorder a duplicate mooring cover for my boat through Bennington costs $1500--ouch. I'd spend my money on something more permanent than a mooring cover.

X 2, mine is now a camper port, instead of the boat port. Our 29 footer fits under it, great!

I know Ty and Sean are both gone, I'm not sure who's steering that ship anymore.

Re: pontoonstuff.com
appreciate the input guys.... still not sure if the boats coming home... hate giving up my rental spot... big big storage building with smooth as glass concrete floors made moving the boat around with a hand dolly so easy.. turns out the guy that owns the place I've been using has a relative who has a storage facilty about a mile away... he has two spots open now, one is just a big storage area behind a swing gate.. the floor of that one is dirt, it's all uneven and rutted plus the storage space is open up near the gables so rain can blow in... he has another spot that sounds like it "might" work.. completely enclosed with a roll up door.. no open areas, the floor is concrete and it's 35 feet deep, plenty deep enough, just not sure how wide the door is.. if it's 8 feet I'm screwed, if it's 10 feet wide, it's do-able, but that would be a pretty tight fit backing in.. hoping its a 12 wide door, then no problems.. rental is 100 a month which is a little cheaper than what I was paying.. as for a metal carport next to the garage, with the over hang of the garage roof, when I back the toon up there ( which is trying because of the limited space ) there is just barely enough room for the toon to sit on the concrete.. so if one of those storage places up the road doesn't work out, it may just have to be a good, tented cover.. btw, lady I spoke with at PS today was very nice and helpful. I asked about the premium 20 to 22 foot cover they sell for 299.00 Since my toon is maroon I asked about the maroon covers on thier web site.. she said they didn't have any and she couldnt tell me if it would be days, weeks, months or even if they were going to get anymore... she then suggested I look at one of their premier covers in gray which sells for 100 bucks less... told me it was the exact same material as the more expensive cover and the only reason those red or blue covers were more was because of the dye... pretty much decided that if I bring it home or if I have to store it in that space that is open at the top, I'll be buying the cover... even in the open ended storage space rain could blow in on an angle and the PS cover would help there... we'll see what happens.. gotta get the boat sunday.. I'm not happy about it, boats been in an indoor facility since the day I picked it up... but I have a lot of friends in this neighborhood, and 4 of them own boats.. all of them are parked in the driveway with a cover... I'm sure once it's there for a week or two, I'll get used to it...

Rickpo... was curious if you had received your cover from pontoon stuff.com and what you thought about it. I placed my order Tuesday but it hasn't arrived yet, but it's still a little early.
