At first I wasn't lovin' the sunshine state, but when I got my 'toon it changed my view. It's a whole new and different world out in the IC. I think everyone that lives here needs a boat. Even if is a kayak they need to get out on the water.
Does this look familiar??

Is that the north side of the causeway to Dunedin Beach ?
I lived in FL from 1976 [the year the Buccaneers started] to 1995, and the one thing I notice about Pinellas and Pasco now vs then is the traffic ! Its outrageous ! I looked it up: Pinellas County is the most densely populated county in the entire state at 3339 people per average square mile. Pasco is a lonely 463. And where I live now - Bedford County VA - averages 80 people. I honestly think we have more cows than people !
I think we should start a TOONTIMESHARE club.

The next time I'm down in Pinellas County I get to go out on your toon, and then the next time you are in Virginia you get to use mine !

Yes...well sort of. It is north of the Dunedin causeway, but probably further north than you are thinking. That is the North Anclote Key sandbar about 12 miles north of the causeway.
Check out this chart if you get a chance. I think it will look pretty familiar to you.

I'm in Pasco county...a new area called Trinity. Pretty much a suburb of the Tampa area. We have quite a few cows also, but I think we still out number them.

Cool charts, I never saw them before.
This is where my condo was. My parents lived there since 68 when it was an apartment and I bought it in 76 as a condo.
Sold it in 03

I thought it was a pretty cool web site also. I found it a couple weeks ago when I was tracking my father's sailing trip down in the Florida Keys. I bought my local chart. I'm in the lower left corner of chart 11411.
It was only abot thirty bucks and very detailed. It's about the size of my dining room table. They have old historical charts also suitable for framing. I'm thinkin about getting the Gulf chart framed.
I test drove a 'toon down is St Pete Beach very close to your old condo, but we just couldn't agree on a price so I bought a different one.
Below is a pic of Gulf Harbors where my in-laws and boat reside.

Yep, you can't build places like that anymore. Sometime around 1970 they stopped all of the dredge and fill developments.
If they had not done that my bay would look like that instead of this
