Those stats are misleading. When I was surfing everyday I probably spent 20-30 hours a week in the ocean. You can't tell me that my chances of being attacked by a shark are the same as some guy in Nebraska, but the stats don't make any differentiation between me and the dude in the middle of the country.

I use them as a swing/hammock off the front end between the toons...underneath and out of the 120 degree sun! (We are on Lake Mohave) The Mr rigged up a few to keep my tushy in the cool water and be able to snooze securely!

Also- We were leaving seared finger flesh on the gate's top rails in this heat, so we bored out a few and use them to wrap the gate top rails! You can use matching/coordinating colors... cute and functionable!

Time to renew and go to The Freak Show (wally's) and get more!

How do you run the pipe through? We try all kinds of ways of boring these noodles out to wrap around the gate rails... it's always hard and we're looking for a better way.

Buy the kind with the hole already bored (extruded) through them.
I see them with a hole close to 2" and other with a 1" or so hole.
They also sell a similar product made out of the same material for insulating HVAC pipes with several diameters. (not the old rubber foam Armaflex)
