When I first got my boat back I thought it was listing ever so slightly to the port side. I dismissed my feeling as just being paranoid. We took a couple trips and it seemed ok, but I still noticed a slight list. I thought maybe it was just extra weight from passengers or the heavy couches in the back of the boat on the port side.

I'm planning to take the 'toon back to the marina tomorrow to have them pull the port pontoon plug to see if there is any water inside. I suspect that there is. These are the only photos I have from our most recent trip. I'll take one of the stern tomorrow. The list is much more evident when looking at the stern. I'm hoping for the best, but I think they missed a hole when welding.

Which side is the gas tank on? might be just that since they are located very near the corner. While the boat is on the trailer back it up and have some one beside the trailer, and hit the brakes if there is even a gallon of water they will be able to hear it. Bet you are okay though. Let us know the outcome.

The gas tank is actually right in the center of the boat. Unfortunately, I don't have a trailer. My boat is in the water so I take it to a marina that is accessable by water. It might be that the couches in the corner are weighing it down. That corner is probably 1.5 - 2 inches lower than the starboard side.

From your pictures it looks like you are listing more than 2 inches.

Here is a better photo showing the boat listing. I already took the boat back to the marina. They pulled the plug and the 'toon took a big long piss. Aparently they missed a small hole on the back of the port pontoon. They are calling back the welder to fix it. Should be back on the water soon.

Guess how many gallons were in the pontoon?

A) 1-9
B)10-19
C)20-29
D)30-40
E)Over 40

Once again, its about knowing your boat, and paying attention to anything different. That's another great thing about this place, lots of folks to bounce ideas off of, and maybe approach an issue from another angle.

Yeah, this really is a great forum with experienced boaters...

Here are a couple videos of my trip to the marina. This probably falls into the 'Don't try this at home' category. I had to take my boat, by water, form New Port Richey up to the Cotee River in Port Richey where my marina is located. I had been watching my boat for several days so I knew it wasn't taking on water very fast. Also I spent most of my life as a surfer so I am an experienced ocean swimmer if worse came to worst. So my Father In-Law and I jumped in the pontoon and made the hour long trip with no issues. I had him sit on the starboard side with me to help balance out the load. I felt right at home because sailing is also a hobby of mine. I am used to boats healing over...

This is a video during our ride in the Gulf.

This is the Cotee River where the marina is located. When it rains the water turns brackish, but it is mostly salt right now.

It sounds like you may have a cracked weld up top and they didn't check there. I assume they did the pressure and soapy water in the squeeze bottle where your pits were. The good news is if it is topside, you are not screwing up your new paint job.
