water in my logs?
Pls check out these pics. Do I need to check for water in toons? I haven't been out enough to use the fuel up to compare how it sits in the water with less fuel.
When I'm at full speed the ladder frame seems to cause a lot of water to come up on the back deck right side. Is this normal?

- Another angle for comparing the water lines. If you look real close on top of the toon just fwd of the rear frame under the floor you will see the 1/2" plug. There are several of these and they all look like they've not been broken before.

You look a little back heavy. If you have no water in your toons you need some weight up front.

Why not just check with the slosh test. Back the trailer and hit the brakes fairly hard. If there is water you will hear it. Need two people so you can be near the toon you are checking. Technically.........water in motion tend to stay in motion.

Yep went back to mich regular than lite. figured they must just add water to cut down on the calories an call it lite. My be wrong but why chance it.

My ladder also causes some spray. I think that is pretty normal.

Could this be from a full tank of gas? We have hardly used the boat this summer & have not even hit 3/4 full yet. My boat is 22' long, 1800 lbs, the motor it is rated for is a 70-90 hp I have a 70 evinrude/johnson motor it weighs 378lbs., the pontoons are 24" in diameter. Wish I did have a 90hp.
Can't do slosh test until week from Monday. Truck is in Charlotte. Lv for vacation Sat. I'm having some hesitation about breaking these seals. Hoping there is no water in the toons.
Any more suggestions?
How about the lights. Where can I find them?

Yeah, a full fuel tank could cause it to be lower on that side. Your plugs are above the waterline so I wouldn't worry too much about breaking the seal if you hear water sloshing around when you do the slosh test.
I'n not sure about the lights. Hopefully someone else can point you in the right direction.

Just go to push on the side of the boat and get it rocking side to side and bend down and listen, you will hear it if it is in there. The water is sloshing around in a hollow tube it isnt that hard to hear the noise. If there is enough water in there to make you tune sit abnormal in the water then you will hear it. I had water in my tubes and that is how I noticed I just rocked the boat side to side until it was moving pretty good and then listened.

The lights are made by Attwood. I replaced mine with LED lights Attwood that have the same base size and stainless covers. Here is a link to what I ordered for my Crest.

I ordered LED lights because my engine only had a 6 amp alternator and we do lot of boating at night. The old lights would slowly run the battery down over a period of time unless we did a lot of day running.
I found that all LED lights do not have the same brightness or are coast guard approved. Be carefull if you look at cheaper LED lights, especially anchor LED lights.
The two Crest boats I have owned had a 24 gallon gas tank on port side, most likely yours does to. When this tank is full, my boat was lower on the port side even while under way. I moved the battery and anything else of weight to the starboard side that I could.
My current Crest boat has port and center tanks. It still leans to the port side so I run the fuel out of the port tank first and then switch to the center tank.

I bet your pontoons don't have water in them...
If you look close at the picture of your pontoons from the side,
the front of the pontoon sits about 1/3 or 8" down into the water.
It looks like the rear of the pontoon is about 2/3rds or 16" down into the water.
Now look at the load...the motor is hanging way out on the back, the gas tank and the battery are in the back and there is more furniture and railing at the back than at the front.. when the driver sits down, his weight is also towards the back.
Even if you place all your extra gear and the passangers towards the front on the boat,
the rear of the pontoons will not rise very much, if at all.
I think your low ride is because the pontoons are only 24" in diameter.
and there probably isn't much you can do about that..
