Gotta love the people in this group, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for all of the input. Next time I load the boat I'll put it near the back end of the bunks and move the winch post back then check to make sure there is enough weight on the hitch. That project is going to have to wait until spring though. Recently my father in law passed away, my son returned from Iraq and my younger son got cast in a play. Add all that to the normal demands around the house and from work and my time is spoken for so I already put the boat in storage.
Thanks again everyone.

You know... parents used to do everything with their kids. It was how they were taught everything, basically. Get your sons out there and do the project with them. They'll learn something and you get to spend some time with them accomplishing something together.SoapPeddler wrote:Gotta love the people in this group, knowledgeable and helpful. That is very good advice Leisure Kraft. I was listening to a child development researcher describe the results of his latest project. He said that children up to their mid teens learn much more from watching than they do from listening. I would guess that participating is even more effective.

I was doing some volunteer work down in Peru and the kids loved us, we'd have them move the (empty) wheelbarrows and other easy chores like that. They just ate that up, they thought we were the greatest. It gives them a sense of purpose to help out.SoapPeddler wrote:That is very good advice Leisure Kraft.
