Just joined the forum. I just began boating this year and recently purchased a 2011 SunTracker 25XP3 with 150hp Optimax. We owned a used Avalon but had continuous problems with it...so I traded it in. Because I am a boating Newbie, I really wanted a place where others, whom have gone before me, could advise before I make more costly mistakes. I say more, because I've already made plenty.

Hello everybody,

Don't have a toon boat yet, but I've been on many, and let me just say - I am a fan.

A living room on the lake, lots of room and everyone can fish off of any side. My father in law wants to sell his 19 ft Searay for a deck boat. My buddy has a pontooner and we enjoy it with our 5 year old sons. I'm looking forward to doing some serious research here people, so please don't let my constant barrage of questions annoy you.

Cheers,
Scott

Hi everyone. DW and I purchased "Dixie" The Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Took our maiden voyage on the Cumberland river in Tennessee on Black Friday.

She's a 24 foot Sweetwater (09), with a 115 Yamaha. Only had 20 hours on her when we purchased her.

We are desperately waiting for January to get here....so February can come and lead us into March taking us to April....and right back to the river we will go. She's trailered and buttoned up for the winter for now...but I still like to look at her everyday.

I found your site while I was researching painting pontoons for saltwater use. I found some excellent information. I am excited to become a new member of your forum. Thanks for providing a place to learn and discuss the world of pontooning.
