Manitou Xplode - Center tube access port

#1 Post by GaCarolinaTn » Fri Oct 05, 2012 3:32 pm

My 2012 Xplode has a round white access panel just forward of the engine in the center tube.

Does anyone know why this is part of the design? What purpose does it serve?

Thanks!

The Crest Tri-toons have a fuel cell in the center log. Except in our model the tank is accessible through a panel in the floor of the deck.

You'll usually find the fuel line junctions under that plate. Wiring/conduit also may be going through that area.

Mrtoler is exactly right!, When we designed the new transom in 2009, we encapsulated the transom and needed an access hole to get to the nuts behind the transom for the motor mounting bolts.
Good Job!

Here is a picture of the prototype transom, that we built. Should be the same as yours. Took me awhile to find it, since I have split paths between Manitou and Premier.

There enough room in there for that, your bong, a 12 pack of one hitters and a 30 pack of Bud Light, on ice!

When's the party? Woo Hoo!!!
